Since 2025 I have attended the Vintage Computer Festival West (V.C.F. West) as an exhibitor, presenting various selections from computing history ranging from one of the first pocket translators to MIDI on the Commodore Amiga. While I hope to prepare longer write-ups on these projects in the future, this oddment serves as a repository of the PDF versions of the posters that have accompanied my exhibits:
- 2025: “The Ami Memory System: A Pocket Translator Pioneer” — This exhibit featured a number of Ami Memory System units (released as the Craig M100 in the U.S.). The Ami Memory System was perhaps the most successful of the first generation of pocket translators in 1979, and was the direct predecessor of the first handheld computer, the Panasonic H.H.C.
- 2026: “MIDI, The Commodore Amiga, and The Blue Ribbon SoundWorks” — This exhibit featured an Commodore Amiga 2000 configured as a MIDI workstation. It presented a view of MIDI on the Commodore Amiga, with a particular focus on the MIDI sequencer “Bars&Pipes Professional” by Blue Ribbon SoundWorks.
